I have always had a deep fascination for the Latin language, and have just begun studying it on my own with Wheelock's Latin. I studied Spanish in high school, which has helped me in studying Latin, but I can already tell that it will take many years before I can get proficient and fluent in the language. I hope that after studying the Wheelock text in full, I will be able to participate in Latin-speaking forums to practice.

I'm taking my first semester of Latin and picking it up rather well.. I'm glad to find such places where constant Latin interaction is available my vocabulary is very limited however. and i'm horrible at syntax.

Salve to all
I am a antiquarian book collector who owns many works in Latin. This prompted me 2 years ago to learn the language. I now have a approximately 300 word vocabulary I have memorized. but Nouns do not comprehension make. The lack of a systematic study means I can see that someone is running, will run, has run, may run, might consider the possibility that somewhen in the future He/she/they/it/them/these might entertain the idea of the fact that they/etc may be able to run...and like that That is, I do not KNOW Latin but I am slogging along picking things up as I go. vale

I took 2 years of Latin in high school and wish I took 3. Latin was my favourite class in high school not counting the choir.

Salve, amici Latinae,

I'm glad to find a place on the Internet where I have something in common. I've been casually studying Latin since I was 15, and I'm admittedly not much better now than I was then. Actually, I've learned more about and of Latin in the last six months than in the four years before that, simply because I can finally hear it and see it in complete sentences.
I'm so glad to find Latinum.

Gratias tibi ago!

Ave omnia,

I am new to Latin study and very happy to find this community. I will contribute as much as I can. I am so grateful to Evan Millner for this amazing resource.

Vale, et pax vobiscum
