I just started listening to all the podcasts from latinum not too long ago. That is actually how I found this site. Thanks for the advice on adler's. I'll be sure to check that out.
I hope to be able to find people who I can chit chat locally with in Latin sooner or later. First thing I wan to do is get up on my writing and thinking in Latin so soon I'll start corresponding here using Latin.

Yeah, I am of Polish descent. There's a ton of us in Metro-Detroit. Unfortunately I don't speak any Polish, as of now Latin is the only language I know much of. I do my studies from Wheelock's Latin. I'm on Chapter 23.
My interest in Latin is mostly due to the fact that I want to get into graduate school for medieval history.
I'm really excited to have come by this place where other people who enjoy Latin are.
When did your family make it over here? Mine came not too long before the First World War. My Great grandfather made the trip across several times before he finally moved the family over here. If you're interested in Polish-American history I know a person/place or two I can point you too. I don't know how much Polish culture or history is down in Louisiana, but we have quite a bit here in Detroit. A ton of us migrated here from the old country.
